"I'm a Catholic! I know its LOVE!"
hahaha!
I'm a sucker for family dramas with off-kilter dynamics! I think this film is a hoot.
Also showing at TIFF 2011, just outright funny :) Can't believe the director Ole Christian Madsen of Flame and Citron is doing a comedy as hilarious as this one :)
Here the synopsis from the Match Factory website:
Christian is the owner of a wine store that is about to go bankrupt and he is just as unsuccessful in just about every other aspect of life. His wife, Anna, has left him. Now, she works as a successful football agent in Buenos Aires and lives a life of luxury with star football player Juan Diaz. One day, Christian and their 16-year-old son get on a plane to Buenos Aires. Christian arrives under the pretense of wanting to sign the divorce papers together with Anna, but in truth, he wants to try to win her back!

Union Square: Sorvino is Back!
This film currently screening at Toronto seems like a riot! Glad to see Mira Sorvino in fab form :)
Nancy Savoca I love your work! I remember seeing the film Household Saints on HBO when I was 11 years-old which I thought was this bizarre family melodrama; Lili Taylor was such a young actress then.

Jodi Benson sings Part of your World
Miss Jodi Benson at the Disney D23 Expo 2011. She is now a Disney Legend along with the Philippines Miss Lea Salonga for singing the themes of various Disney animated classics.
Jodi Benson is my ultimate Disney princess, well her voice that is!
The song Part of your World from Disney's The Little Mermaid played a big part of my childhood. A huge family favorite and got me hook on musical theatre as well.

Greece is the new Vegas: Tara Reid is now Married
So according to Bittenandbound.com - Tara Reid just got engaged then suddenly now married! Sounds like a nosedive on impulse, kinda like her career. At least, the gal with the gams got herself a man to bring on the bling.
Patrick Schwarzenegger is Pure HOTness!
I don't care if this fresh piece of man-meat is so unlike his muscular dad (during his heydays). But Patrick Schwarzenegger is uber cute and hot! He has a tinge of Arnold in him, but gorgeous in his own merit.

The Young and Hot Prime Minister of Thailand: Yo Girl Power!
Yingluck Shinawatra is Thailand's first female Prime Minister. Now that's awesome!
Regardless what shirt you're wearing or what color it is, I hope the pretty Premier delivers and represents her people well. She's also happens to be the baby sister of deposed Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. I don't know much about Thai politics, but this girl got game!

First peek of Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel. Soo HOT like Kryptonite!

Miles Morales is the New Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman
Marvel Comics is getting on with the times and just like everything trendy (like organic food and political correctness) the Marvel universe is jump starting its web-slinging super hero by introducing a multi-racial Spider-Man, a half-African-American, half-Latino teenager named Miles Morales. ja! ja! ja!
FYI, Marvel Comics has two cash-cow parallel universes, the mainstream Marvel Universe and the Ultimate Universe, the alternative playground where they can kill off/resurrect characters and get away with anything. Hence, a hot choco flava Spidey!
Not to worry, Peter Parker your fave vanilla Spiderman is just alive and mopey in the regular Marvel Universe.

Hello Kitty meets Star Wars
If I ever go to Comic Con, I would definitely go dressed up as a Hello Kitty Storm Trooper. Really cute! Lucasfilm's Star Wars franchise should consider teaming up with Sanrio for merchandise revenue.
